Lokalanka Fitness was built with one mission: to create a space in Ahangama where strength, health, and community come together. Whether you are a traveling surfer, a digital nomad passing through, or a local looking for a real training environment — this is your gym.
Every great space starts somewhere. Here is how we got here.
It started with the simplest setup imaginable: bodyweight circuits on the Sri Lankan coast, improvised tools, and a handful of people who wanted to move. No walls, no equipment list — just sand, sun, and sweat.

A small garden space became the next chapter. Kettlebells arrived, ropes were strung up, and the sessions grew. It was rough around the edges, but that was the charm — real training in real conditions.

Word spread. Sessions moved between hostel rooftops, hotel gardens, and outdoor spaces across the south coast. Travelers joined, locals got involved, and the community started to take shape.

A dedicated facility with professional equipment, structured programming, and a café on site. The vision finally has a permanent home — but the spirit of those early beach sessions lives on in every class.

With over 15 years of international training experience across the UK, Asia, and beyond, Nick brings world-class coaching to the south coast of Sri Lanka. Specialising in boxing, HIIT, strength training, and Muay Thai, every session is tailored to your level — whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned athlete.
Nick built Loka Lanka from the ground up — starting with nothing more than a few kettlebells and a belief that fitness should be accessible, fun, and community-driven.
